Revised Apex Governor Limits
Develop more freely on Force.com
- Simplify governor limits
- Expand your available resource use
The number of Apex governor limits has been reduced, and the use of governor limits simplified. With Spring ’11, there is now a single context for governor limits. All governor limits have the same amount of resources allocated to them, whether you’re calling it from trigger, an anonymous block, or a test. This feature makes it easier for developers and admins to stay within the governor limits and design their applications.
There has also been an increase to existing limits. For example, the total number of DML statements issued for a process has gone from 20 for triggers, and 100 for everything else, to 150 for all contexts.
