Global search is the lightning-fast search technology built into Force.com. Positioned in the header of the page for easy access from anywhere in the app, it’s never been easier to find what you’re searching for.

Global Search gives you instant results and suggests terms using auto-complete for records that you’ve recently viewed, edited, or looked up. You can drill down to specific items, including articles, content, products, solutions, Chatter feeds, files, groups, and people. Or make your scope even more granular by including other criteria such as descriptions, notes, and task and event comments.
